Crazy About a Sharp Dressed Man....

So...I've had this post ready to go since Monday.  The weather has been so COLD I haven't wanted to do a THING....not even press the orange "Publish Post" button!! This morning on the way to work (YES...I've had to work!!) my car thermometer read -4 degrees! Our windchill was -20! Someone get me out of West Texas! (not really!)

Well...Our whirlwind weekend was GREAT! We did WIN the stock show this weekend! All of the pigs we took (as in our friends kids since Helee is too young to show) did really well!! A pig that we raised & sold won the show! More on that to come in the stock show post....that may or may not be published this week!

The Engagement Party....was so FUN!

I loved being able to dress up!! Tanner was less than thrilled, but he got over it!

It took me FOREVER to get my hair put all the way up. I love my hairstyle, but all these layers were not cooperating at all! It only took one hissy fit & a few bobby pins thrown across the bathroom (and an almost tear or two) and my hair was finally up. I used almost an entire bottle of hairspray that Tiffany swears had been in my parents house since she lived there (OVER ten years ago!)

I am not sure...actually, I am sure that we've never all been dressed up like this (besides at a wedding) I thought these Ellis' cleaned up well!!

I was very worried about the night being too formal...but it wasn't at all!! Yes, there were things on the cocktail buffet that I'd never heard of...or had never seen because I didn't know what 75% of the things were...but that didn't stop me from acting like I knew!!! But..when the photographer there made me smush my chubby cheeks on Tiff's shoulder in a picture....the laughter started & we became anything but formal!

I will not publish the picture taken before this....its HILARIOUS! but I am the butt of that joke & just don't think I want to embarrass myself today!

We left Sunday after noon to catch our plane in Dallas.  After we returned our car (and I gave them a HUGE piece of my mind! about lying to me about the price....) we went to the airport.  While going thru security, we ran into this "Sharped Dress Man".....

Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top!!! (and yes I had to Google his name!!)  I promise I wasn't hoovering around...he was posing.  You know those camera's that flash BEFORE the actual picture is taken.  Yea...that's what happened.  He thought it was already taken and since he was not the friendliest person I'd ever met....I didn't make him pose again!!

So...do ya get the title of the post now??? I thought it fit well!! Happy Snow week (for most of Tx!)

As Daddy always said "It's amazing what God did with what HE had to work with!" we have beautiful children!
What a wonderful time we had! A big thanks to everyone who made the day so special!
