Rodeo Week-Complete!

Well, I've got another Rodeo out of the way.  I enjoy the actual 3 days of  Events and despise the months before & after it.  Here are previous Posts about our Rodeo.....HEREHERE, &   HERE!

Helee spent most of last week at the Arena "helping" Tanner.

He was so ready for Rodeo weekend to get here.

I am in the pressbox all night but he always made sure I was watching him.

He & Pop lead the Grand Entry on Thursday Night...it starts the Rodeo off!

Blane was able to be in town for the big event too.  He is getting old enough that we put him to work untieing calves!

Helee's favorite event of the night is the calf scramble.  I feel sorry for the kids.  The county arena is kind of large!...so it takes them a little bit to catch them! Helee got a ribbon on Saturday night! He was less than thrilled with the $10 though...he wanted to know where his trophy was!

My Tanner works so hard during the weekend...I tried to get a better picture, but he caught me taking his picture & I had to put the camera down! lol...

Saturday is also a full day.  We have slack in the morning, while the parade is going on.  We met up with the boys & went to the park for lunch.  The boys got to play while we waited for the barbecue line to start moving.

(Just realized that Cross & He-man are making the EXACT same face in the above & below picture...lol)

Cross started attacking Tanner for no reason after we ate.  It was funny to watch him.  He would grab Tanner's hat & throw it...pick it back up & start the process over again.

Saturday Night when everything was over & we could unwind finally, the kids spent a couple hours in the MUD  of the arena.  I do not think either of the boys clothes will ever come clean!

But they had a Blast playing!

They both were EXHAUSTED (right along with Tanner & I) and crashed in the car on the way home.

We slept most of the day Sunday.  I finally got out of my Pj's around 4 & we decided to treat ourselves to a good steak at Roadhouse!

It was a great weekend that was packed too full.  But I know we will do it again next year!!

What a great job you did of telling the story of the Rodeo thru the eyes of your boys! I love Cross Running! And the pic of Helee dirty & tired reminds me of the first time I saw Tanner after he had worked spring cows in a dust storm! Man I sure miss you!!!!
