I Heart Faces: Fix-it Friday

Last weekend I went to a Photoshop Workshop for work. I am working on designing our new website (which I know nothing about...but learning) Soooo...I've been playing alot with Photoshop CS4. I love photography but again...really don't know anything about it, but I have learned that editing pictures is a learning process! SO...over at I Heart Faces, they have "Fix it Friday" & I decided to participate!....I hope I dont make myself sound ignorant, but I'm going to try to explain what I did to "fix" the photo...

Fix #1:

I manually adjusted the levels. Used TRA "Oh Snap" action, lasso-d the bulldoggers face & adjusted the shadows; applied PW's "Heartland" Action; Merged then duplicated the layer with the new layer set on multiply; lasso'd the bulldogger & steer & deleted selection on layer one with my feather set at 100px.

Fix #2:

For this one: I adjusted the levels to 15, 1.18 & 196; lasso-d steer & dogger & adjusted the shadows; cropped to center dogger; duplicated the layer; used TRA "J Sharp" @ 61%; applied TRA "Dirt Lip" texture to layer 1; selected dogger & steer with elliptical tool & deleted selection on layer one; then applied TRA "Technicolor Dream World" (MY FAV Action) @ 79%
