Cleaning Out Tingles...

Tanner's grandad bought an old parts store in town several years ago.  From looking at the calendars on the walls, I think the store closed in 1985. It looked like the literally just shut the doors one day and never came back.  There was even a sales ticket on the counter that was never completed.  Well, the family has sold the building so we had to get all of the CRAP stuff out.  Tanner's parent own a parts store here in town, so we keep'd most of the old parts.  If you have a car from before 1985 we probably have a part for you!  I went to "help" for the past couple of nights.  Mostly I watched since I had the boys!  Even not doing much, we were all filthy by the time we came home... My chubby cheek boy had dirt in several of his rolls! lol
And just think of the dirt in this boys hair....That helmet had been under the counter for the past 15 years! You know that he loved every minute of it.  I would say, "Helee your hands are filthy!" & he said
"Mom, I've been working"

There is a ditch dug right behind the barn for a new water line the new owner is putting in...It worked well as a play pen for Helee...He couldn't get out of it on his own! He was working in there too.

Steph (My S-I-L) & Rance helped just as much as Me & Cross....At least we got to visit!

Hate this picture, but since I'm never on the blog...Thought I'd throw it in for the parents.... One day I'll learn to pose in a flattering way!

There were a couple of things in the building that I thought I could make something out of.  I blame blogging for my "ideas"  I got a couple of square window panes on Wednesday night...I thought I could make chalk boards out of them...Then I saw these last night...HIGH in the rafters.  You should have seen Tanner's face when I asked if I could have them.  If you know Tanner...you know that Go to H*&& Look he gave me.

& my PRIZE find of the entire barn (That I have NO place for right now, but one day will!)  This butcher block was buried under mountains of crap dirt & tools.  I saw potential...This was another time that I got that look from Tanner...
Wont this make a GREAT butcher block in the kitchen?? People pay lots of money for things like this! I'm so excited to get it cleaned off.  This is definitely a new project that will soon be blogged about!!
