An Offer I Couldnt Refuse....

My boss was going to be out of the office on Tuesday...he had some business all day in East Texas, so when I left the office Monday evening, I told him to wave as he flew over my parents house...I left work and headed home.  15 minutes later he called & said, "Why don't you just come with me & spend the day with your Dad?"

I have been worried about how much I am going to be off work over the next few weeks already so I was hesitant for a minute...& I don't really make decisions without talking to Tanner, so I told him I'd call him back.

It didn't take long & I decided to go.  We were leaving the airport in Plains at 6:30am and were not going to be back until almost Midnight, so I decided to just take Helee with me.  It would have been really hard on Cross to be gone that early & out that late!  So Helee & I were up at 5:30 & out the door by 6:00 yesterday morning!!

I woke him up & he jumped up ready to go! I told him over & over how lucky he was to get to fly!! He stayed awake the entire time. & was sure to inform us all when the sun woke up! That's probably the best way to watch the sunrise!!

My boss was stopping first in Palestine to pick up some passengers, so Corey met us there at 9! We stopped by Tiffany's office on the way through Tyler & then were off to my parents for the day!  We had a great day of just laying around the house. Corey & I went through a few old photo albums & laughed at ourselves & Corey's old hair styles!

Corey just recently got a new puppy, Cutter.  We decided that Dad was a good babysitter! Cutter slept with him like this for a couple of hours...just cuddled up together!

Helee DESTROYED my parents "toy room"! He had everything out! I was so proud of him yesterday. I really thought that by late afternoon he would get exhausted & be in a bad mood, but he was so good ALL day!

While Dad & Cutter were taking their nap, we ventured out to the Barn.  Mom has a guy helping her with some stuff around the house, & he's been working in the barn the last few days.

The barn at my parents house was built ALONG time ago. It's 3 stories tall & just has so much character.  I don't think that we've ever taken Helee up to the second floor (the third floor is kind of hard to get up to) so we took him up there yesterday...

He was alittle hesitant of the floor (picture above)...Its a slotted floor so that air can circulate.  He was sooo cute tip toeing across it!

I ran back outside to take his picture! He & Grana were looking at all the cows...he really loved it!

Then we walked to the back pasture to check the Pecan trees....Helee doesn't see trees like this everyday!

I just cant reiterate how great he acted all day.  I think the only thing I had to ask him to stop doing (alot) was banging playing the piano!

There is a picture of Tanner at his parents house from his senior year in high school.  He is posing with his chin on his fist.  When Helee was younger, Tanner's parents taught him to pose like that on command.

Well, yesterday Helee &Corey were wrestling & I said, "Helee, stop & pose with Co-Co for me"  and this is what I got!

Isn't he precious?!

We had to leave & head back to Palestine to meet Gary at 7:30...about 6 or so, Dad decided he felt like going to Pete's, their neighbors!  It made me so happy....& I think made Dad happy too....that Helee wanted to ride with Toot-Toot!

He jumped on & off they went. It was a great, unexpected, day...& I am SO grateful that I have a great boss! I wouldn't have wanted to be anywhere else yesterday!

I was a great day wasn't it. The only thing missing was Tiff! By the way, next time you post a pic of Grana, please photo shop some makeup!
