Fast & Furious Weekend!

We had a GREAT weekend in East Texas!! We left Thursday around lunch, and made it to Tyler to see Dad before he went to sleep.  Helee did GREAT with him! He crawled up on his bed & played with him & pushed all the buttons on his bed!

Friday, Dad told Mom she could go to Canton.  It was GREAT for Mom to be able to get away and have some time to herself.  We (along with Tanner's Mom) shopped and shopped.  I was a tired girl and kind of had trouble keeping up with the Mom's!!

I am so THANKFUL for a wonderful husband!! He kept both boys Friday so the girls could enjoy some time away!  We got home to some filthy boys & spent the evening outside!

Mom enjoyed being "Grana" with the kids! Katelynn traced her & Cross "helped"

The boys got 50lbs of Crawfish for Dinner Friday Night!!! You cant go to East TX in the spring & not eat some crawfish!!  Unless you are the kids...they had pizza!

We all ate and ate....and still had lots of left overs!

Saturday was the big Fredi-Fools Race! We spent the day in the neighbors pasture enjoying the warm weather! And I have a sunburn to prove it!

I took the pack & play...hoping to have some relief from holding Cross during the entire race...and trying to keep him from crawling off the trailer...but Katelynn & Helee got more use out of it!!

The kids & adults had a blast Saturday.  Everyone was exhausted and turned in relatively early considering there was a concert next door!  We went over and listened to the band long enough for them to sing a special song...dedicated to Helee.  What song?? None other than "Big Green Tractor"!

We left early Sunday morning and went and visited with Dad before heading out of town.  We had tickets to the Rangers Game!

Helee was really excited! He had alot of fun! He danced to almost every song that came on!

This birthday boy could have cared less about celebrating at the ball park! I spent most of the game making sure he didn't tumble down the bleachers!

And I think he ate double his weight in french fries, Cheetos, crackers & hot dogs!

It was a great weekend. We squeezed so much into 3 days that we are all still recovering, but we're ready to do it all again!

An update on Dad.....

He is coming home today. None of it makes sense to me.  We were told in January he had a week, told 2 weeks ago he had 24-72 hours....I don't think anyone knows.  I'm working to stop trying to figure it out.  God has a plan.   I am "fortunate" in a way that I am 500 miles and can somewhat remove my head (not my heart) from the whole situation.

Please pray for patience for my Mom and Corey & Tiffany.  Dad is so happy to be coming home and that is what is important.

Amber- I just love your life stories an how important family is to you. That He-man is such a stud, blue eyes, blonde hair, what a good looking bunch you are!

As for your dad, I pray for him an you guys, mainly that God keeps your faith in him even when your father is in pain. Doctors only go off of logic an what tends to occur based on history! The God element always fools them.

Bless you an your beautiful family! I'm lucky to have you as a good friend.

Ps. You've turned into one awesome blogger!
