We Zing-d, We Zang-d & We Zoom-d!
The Circus came to Lubbock! We decided a few weeks ago to take the boys. I knew that Cross would be less than interested, but I didn't want to leave him out when we took Helee!
We got there alittle early and I'm so glad that we did! There was a pre-show where you could go into the ring before & meet the performers.
Helee & Rance (our nephew) really enjoyed it! I asked Helee to make sure Rance didn't run out into the ring (he tried to a few times). Helee sat with his hand on Rance's shoulder after I asked him! It was soo cute...He is an EXCELLENT big brother...& Cousin!
(He got a new hat & boots too!! His other hat was in BAD shape & so were his boots! Helee is four & on his fifth pair of boots! Not cause he out grows them...because he wears them OUT!)
Rance went out into the ring & hula-hooped with the other kids....little did they know He had NO intention of giving it back! Can you see the lady trying to take it from him?!
Our Circus Family Photo! I may be out of focus alittle, but look at the smile on Cross Haven's face! Both boys were happy before the show started!
A few pics of the show!
I think this guy was the "RingMaster"
He looked alittle Cris Angel-ish to me. I can not imagine what his hair felt like!
I'm not going to act like it was just a "Wonderful" day...Cross did not cooperate thru out the show. I was completely overwhelmed & missed half the show. I am blaming it on the fact that he has GOT to be getting some teeth, and he did not get a nap before the show. I have no clue what age or attention span the show is aimed at...I knew before hand it was not for Cross' age...but when the lights came on & they announced it was "intermission" and that they would be back for the 2nd half soon...all of the parents just looked at each other like "Seriously...there is more to this?!"
We discussed leaving during the intermission, but I told Tanner that I had read on Facebook about part of the show & I didn't want to miss it! I had a friend go to the show on Saturday & someone commented on her status and said "They make an elephant disappear!" At first I was alittle mad that someone had given away that surprise...but I told Tanner & just wanted to see it & we could leave. I love trying to figure out magic tricks...and I think I know how they did all the other disappearing acts, but I just couldn't figure out in my head how they would make a HUGE elephant disappear...pretty sure they're are not trick doors big enough for that creature!
They brought the Elephants out several times & I got excited...& nothing happened. Then at one point they brought out this huge pink tarp thing...& i got excited...and nothing happened.
I sat there for 2 hours waiting for a Dang Elephant to disappear & it NEVER happened!!
It was a great show none the less, but they really should have made that elephant disappear or at least bathed them cause they stunk!!

Loved the pictures! You are such a good Mom! I bet both of your boys will look back and be so thankful for all the things you took the time, to do with them! As always--good job super Mom
Now I remember why I didn't take you and Corey to the circus!!!!
It was the elephant smell.
(You have handsome boys though)
