This weekend I decided to freeze a few toys in a bowl! I saw this idea online...but for the life of me, I do not know where. I thought it was HERE. But this is another fun/easy/CHEAP idea!
Helee had fun chipping away at the Ice. It kept him entertained for awhile.
If you are going to try this, here are my suggestions. 1. Only fill the bowl 1/3 or half way & freeze the toys completely, then Add water to the top & freeze the rest. All of our toys floated to the top and froze before I figured that out. 2. You may want to use a more shallow bowl or pan. There is so much ice in the bowl...we were able to put it back in the freezer & we will be able to play again tonight!
Last suggestion/Disclaimer: I do not suggest doing this without goggles! Especially if you let your kids use something harder than a plastic toy. If he could have really got ahold of it...there would have been ice chips flying everywhere!
He had fun though! & I felt like supermom! LOL....
Cross, he took a few swings at it...but he was over it pretty quickly!
(Excuse our grass filled cracks...that's the only place we grow good thick grass! We are in dry West Texas, ya know!)

Great idea Amber...I may have to pull this out for this longer weekend coming up. I also love the new picture for your header. Your boys love the camera!
