Cross Haven is 2! I can hardly believe that 2 years ago today, we were on our way home with this bundle of energy!! He has given me a run for my money the last 2 years! Its amazing how different two kids can be! But I do love that they are each there own person! Helee is my outgoing kid, while Cross...is just Cross!
We kept Cross' birthday pretty low key & just had family over to eat fajitas! The boys enjoyed some time out side before "the guests arrived" (as Helee kept saying).
On Monday, I ran to the grocery store in town & got stuff to eat last night. Cross even picked out his own cake mix and we were headed home to make it! Except...I forgot to buy eggs!! We live to far out to run back to town just for that, so I grabbed a frozen cake yesterday. (I know, I am Mom of the Year!!)
This cake was actually good though! Probably even better than what I would have made.
Cross had fun opening a few gifts. He of course had PLENTY of help from his big brother "Hee-a"
He LOVED his new backpack & lunchbox! He put it on & was ready to run out the door!
He also got his own farm set...complete with a silo, grain truck & combine! He kept saying "My big truck!"
Even though it was a last minute thing...It was a great, simple evening!
