RAIN!

It Rained....not once, but twice!

Tuesday night we got alittle over an inch at our house! It was the talk of town, because no one else got any! lol....It literally rained just at our house & the surrounding area!

We didn't get out & enjoy it Tuesday, but last night the boys did! Along with everyone else in our small town!! I can just imagine driving the streets last night, because I'm sure the whole town was sitting on their porches watching it come down!

We have not had a measurable rainfall since last July 4th! We had alittle shower a few months ago, but it was nothing to talk about!

(Yes...my son is always naked!)

We are praising God for this rainfall! Its been AWFUL here! DRY & awful! Hopefully this will green up some grass...our cows are in desperate need of some GREEN grass!!

My boss made the news last night....I work for a water district that has a Precipitation Enhancement program.  Which is why I was in Utah in April. 

 

It can be a controversial subject with my Farmer friends....if the planes are flying they get mad...if they aren't flying they get mad. We can sometimes be the scapegoat for either no rain or too much at the wrong time.  Either way, I'm proud to be apart of such a technologically advanced program!

This was a story the Discovery Channel did on us a few years ago!

 

I have to say, it was fun having them here! I think they came from California...I'm not sure cause we had another TV crew here that same summer...but when I was giving them directions to the local bed & breakfast, you could tell they were from the city! They asked how far it was to the airport from where they were staying & I said

"OH...its just across the pasture. You can see it from the B&B."

There response, " You have a pasture?!" 

 I literally laughed out loud and told them they were going to be in Awe of our pastures!
