Helee is slowly adding to his repertoire of talents. (Yes I had to google how to spell that). He is now a watermelon farmer! Apparently someone in the family spit their watermelon seeds in Mim's flowerbed. There is a vine that has completely taken over!
We have been watching this one watermelon for a few weeks. It has been AMAZING how fast it has grown! Mim & Pop decided it was time to eat it this weekend. So last night we went over & He-Man harvested his crop!
He was so excited to get to eat this thing that we have been telling him he couldn't touch for weeks!
Apparently they are really sensitive & will fall off the vine if you mess with it too much.
Imagine (or just look at Helee's face) the shock Helee had when Pop cut into it....& it was Yellow!
Not only Yellow, but it wasn't ready yet. We did eat a few bites, but un-ripe watermelon isn't the best tasting thing! But Mim had a back up....
The little boys actually did not really care that it didn't taste good...they kept eating!
Which did not surprise me about Cross. He will eat anything & EVERYTHING! Hence the bag of Cheetos all over his face!
& Rance..He's like his Momma...LOVES him some Watermelon!
Tanner's grandad, Dicky, would be proud of our little watermelon Crop. In the late 70s, he was one of the biggest watermelon producers here! So Nana, this post is dedicated to Him...from our new watermelon producer, He-Man, to Grandad Dicky. (Wish he was here to tell us this thing wasn't ready yet!)

OH MY! Amber you had the camera just right to catch Helee's face when he saw the meat of HIS watermelon! Priceless! Thank you so much for letting us be a part of your life!
