Our Pig Barns "officially" opened this weekend! So...COME BUY SOME BABIES!!
We have sold quite a few, but still have plenty to choose from. Poor Helee just doesn't completely understand why people are taking his pigs! We walked into the Lovelace's barn the other day & Helee looked at Summer & said, "Why do you have my Blue Pig??"
So far we just tell him that he will be getting it back!!
I finally started taking the stroller to the barns...I have no clue why I hadn't thought of it before! Sage pushed Cross around on Friday night for awhile until he fell asleep! I thought he was so cute with his hands crossed....
We walked back to the house in the light of Tanner's headlights. Our garage door has been acting alittle weird lately....in the mornings & thru out the day it works just fine, but at night, I can not get it to go down with my opener in the car....
SO...when I left the house & went to the barns Friday afternoon I just pulled the release rope thing & let it down. For some reason, I waited for Tanner to open the door Friday night (instead of walking up & pushing it up manually). When the door lifted & the garage light shined onto the driveway, there was a GIANT rattlesnake laying right where I would have lifted the door!!! It has seven rattlers on its tail! (that means something...about how big it is, i think!) Cross was in the stroller asleep, so Helee & I jumped on the hood of the car. Tanner didn't have a shovel or anything in his truck so he ran to the back yard & came thru the back door of the garage. I swear that snake & I locked eyes, cause it NEVER moved! Well, until Tanner started hacking away at it! There were sparks flying from the shovel hitting the concrete....Whew...Its now dead but I have not walked into the garage without looking for another one!!
That was the 2nd in counter with something that could have been life threatening that we had last week....& Until I just wrote that sentence...I hadn't thought of it that way. hmmm....
Since this is MY blog...I think of it as a diary. I want to print it & bind it into a book so that in years to come, we can look back on our life. So, Helee's accident last Monday is not something that I want to talk about in detail, but its something that one day I think I will want to remember....
(So, in the nicest way I can say this....please do not call us & ask about it)
So this is the short version cause like I said, its not something we want to talk about quite yet......
Tanner & Helee had some cows to work last Monday. Helee was standing behind a gate watching Tanner. Two Bulls started fighting & pressing their weight against the gate...which bowed the gate enough to pop it out & swing into Helee & throw him a few feet into a sticker patch.... Thankfully Tanner was there right away to get the Bulls away from our boy...
It took him a couple of hours to start acting like himself but he was fine...He still, a week later, will not really talk about it to many people and he has a black eye and some other bruises but he's here...& that's what matters!
My mom prays daily for all of our family...but her specific prayer on Monday was for God to cover us with his protective wings...Thank you for doing that this week, Lord...THANK YOU!
These things may sound frivolous to some that have accidents that were much more serious, but its the seriousness that we avoided that scares us. Most people in town have even laughed about it to us....& I just don't get that. For it to be a week later & it still make me cry...I guess I just don't see the what is funny.
So, here is my thank you to those who were sincerely concerned for us....THANK YOU!
Last week was a wake-up call for us.....but we got the message!

There is a song "To GOD be the GLORY" it says How can I say thanks for the things YOU have done for me. It came to my mind as I read today. It is so comforting to KNOW that GOD cares about our every breath!
I love my West Texas Family and God loves them even more than me. Amazing!
I love you Amber!!! I'm glad Helee's ok. I see NOTHING funny about it.
Oh goodness! Poor Helee, but glad he's doing ok. Hope you are doing ok as well, I know that probably gave you and your husband some possible gray hairs!
